951 Project Complete

Well I finally took the turbo out for its first PCA event of the year. She has ~500 miles on her at this point. Overall she is running well except a boost issue that I have to resolve for the next event in 2 weeks. :D

I am not sure what else to say about the car but it has MANY MANY things done to it. :D Did I say ? Many ?

Here are the before pics............................

Hehehehe

Actually the cars interior is mint that is why I bought it in the first place. I was going to transplant the interior into my NA.

RB101

All the parts on the car are original except for the obvious MANY aftermarket goodies. :D I rebuilt the entire engine, powdercoated many items, polished the intake powder coated them clear........etc...etc

Well it took my brother-in-law a year to finally paint her for me. The engine rebuild took me 3-6 months. So overall I would say 1.5 years easily.

I have 2 more events before my dyno day in June. I am hoping to at least have 1000 miles before I put her through it. It should be interesting. :D

The picture doesn't even do that car justice. The car is cosmetically perfect. It looks even better flying past cones at 160KpH!!

Still waiting for the other pics and videos too Alex :)

- euro bumper
- front turn signals clear
- 968 side mirrors (that actually have less visibility in case anyone is wondering)

Thanks...

Yup they are forgeline........ light/wide/strong (and one of the only aftermarket wheels fitting the early offset)...... came with the car :) but they are pricey units. They are ~400-500 a wheel.

The car is missing only the front air splitter (that I havent installed) and the exterior is complete.

very very nice, nice work man!

Rmills944 05-17-2005 10:10 AM

Complete?

Why don't I believe you? I'm pretty sure that somehting else will always be going on with this car... that's what keeps happening to me!

Rmills944 05-17-2005 10:12 AM

com·plete Audio pronunciation of "complete" ( P ) Pronunciation Key (km-plt)
adj. com·plet·er, com·plet·est

1. Having all necessary or normal parts, components, or steps; entire: a complete meal.
2. Botany. Having all principal parts, namely, the sepals, petals, stamens, and pistil or pistils. Used of a flower.
3. Having come to an end; concluded.
4. Absolute; total: “In Cairo I have seen buildings which were falling down as they were being put up, buildings whose incompletion was complete” (William H. Gass).
5.
1. Skilled; accomplished: a complete musician.
2. Thorough; consummate: a complete coward.

ae1969 05-17-2005 10:14 AM

uhmmmm you are right its not complete.... 96.7 %

Some leda's and some new monoblock calipers..........uhmmm zehnd sports seats...........and the air splitter I havent installed should complete it. :D

Oh and I have a 924 turbo hood........ but I want two ducts on it.......maybe next winter I will finish that off..... The engine bay is SOOOOOO HOT NOW... its not even funny. A little more air flow through the engine compartment would be a good thing!

carsontc 05-17-2005 12:32 PM

(sounds like it's just the beginning ! )

many congrats !!
