Porsche Crest Corbeau FX1-Pro seat

Hi Folks,

I am thinking of adding harnesses/racing seats and roll bar to my 944, which I use mostly for DEs. Do any of you have the FX1-Pro in your 944?

http://www.racing-seats-usa.com/29501.html

If so, are you happy with this seat? Can you recommend any others?

Most of the people that I have met at DEs are using Spaco (ie. EVO) seats, which are quite nice, but a lot more expensive as well. So, I was wondering if these Corbeau seats are of a reasonable good quality for the price.

Thanks in advance,

Cheers,

Humberto-

I was looking at the Forza 2 but I had not seen these. It looks like a nice seat, when I have the money I may get one as well.

it's interesting that the FX1Pro is the only seat with a listed weight (16lbs). Does this mean it's THAT much lighter than all the others?

I can say I have the Corbeau TRS and the install was real easy with the corbeau seat brackets. It was a simple 8 bolt install.

Hi Folks,

Thanks for your comments...

The other seat links in the site I included above do also include the weight of the other seats as well (look in the seat dimensions diagram). But yes, the Forza and Fx1-Pro appear to be lighter ones (16 lbs).

The TRS looks nice (and it's good that it can be reclined), but each one cost more than I can afford for both. I have to find a store that has these seats on display so that I can try them out.

I am also wondering if I will have enough head/helmet room given the height of the seats and how they install with the included brackets (I am 6' tall ). I need to start making some measurements.

Cheers,

Humberto-
