another "what is this picture showing" thread by ME!

Alright... decided to pull up the carpet in the trunk to fix some of the back lights... when I yanked it, I noticed two rubber hoses coming from the gas tank filler area... one goes out the bottom of the car and hangs underneath (hose 1)... the other just sits in the back right cubby (hose 2)... could this be the cause of my gas smell in the car?

while I had the carped lifted... found this.... what is it?

Hose #1 Is the sunroof drain tube. Not sure about #2.

Picture #2 Is your fuel tank level sending unit. I had a gas smell in mine, and replaced the gasket on sthe sending unit. The gas smell went away.

#2 should be pushed through the little hole you see in the bottom of the cubby.

Yeah, if that black circle thingy is not covering that hole, you will smell gas. I would use some sticky stuff to put it back on - not permanent stuff...
