should i buy it?
http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.jsp?car_id=185351534&dealer_id=56561320&car_year=1986&make=POR&distance=25&lang=en&max_price=&model=944&end_year=2006&min_price=&certified=&address=60525&search_type=both&advanced=&start_year=1981&isp=y&cardist=5#vdptop
It drove it today. it ran real well and had tons of paper work. New clutch 20k mi ago, belts & water pump 5k ago, engine mts. 20 k ago, starter, front seals, chip & shimmed wastegate, good brakes & rotorspaint was ok, clean interior, no leather, ran strong and pulled hard from 4k - 6k. only thing is that the bottom left front of engine was wet. owner sid it was ps fluid. car does have updated ps hose though. What do you guts think? How much is the car worth.

Id say the asking price is fair considering the low mileage and it looks very nice. Id ffer hm $7500 and see what happens. Stil get a PP done with a compression test.

acctually the passenger side of the engine was wet. so maybe the oil cooler? some not so good points on the car: no abs, no air bags, no lsd, no cd player, no leather, no alarm, no central locking, and a few other minor things. I was thinking 7000 would be a fair price.

it depends on what's leaking, oil or ps fluid.

It's worth all of 8K imo, but I'd throw $7K at him and see how he reacts. It appears to be in very good condition. I have an 86na in similar condition and paid $5500 3 years ago. That car 3 years ago probably would have fetched $9-10K from what I remember when I was shopping.
Good luck.

IF........you gotta ask here, or anywhere else........your to far over the fence!
![]() Its ONLY worth what someone else is WILLING TO PAY FOR IT. Isn't that what anything.......is really worth? Don't mind me.........I just feel like the devils advocate tonight! ![]() Good luck with your decision!

Yes, it sounds pretty fair if everything else checks out...
Test drive her and see what you think. $7,000 might be a good starting offer.
