Who has put together their own 968 turbo kit?

Hi all, I'm in the market for a 968 and I've been reading up on them as much as I can. When I pick one up, I intend on turbocharging it down the road. I have a decent amount of experience with turbocharged vehicles, my last being a VW. Anyway, who has turbocharged their 968 by piecing together their own kit and not pay $20k+? Can you use the exhaust manifold from a 944T, i'd hate to pay someone to fab one? Stock pistons are forged right? Here's a rundown of what I assume you need, please advise.

Exhaust Manifold (from 944T?)
Intercooler
IC piping (custom)
Injectors
Wastegate
Downpipe
Oil Lines
Engine Management (autronic maybe)
Forged Rods
Lowering of compression (head gasket or machined pistons)
Clutch Upgrade
Variocam Delete (what's invovled?)

I know I'm leaving stuff out.

the exhaust mainfold ports are different between the 8V and 16V heads, so the 951 mainfolds won't fit. Your going to have to get a custom header.

They usually use an 8valve head when they turbo the 968, thats how the factory did it.

Actualy you can use the 2.7 head from a n/a 944...that's what we did.

Much of the other stuff can be used from a 951. That's why we went the 8-valve route. but we did get new pistons and rods. Also it's a good time to knife edge the crank. We also went Haltech stand alone.

You can sell a lot of the 968 parts to help offset the project.

My car is running 1 bar of boost and at the rear wheels it's putting out 389 lbs/ft of TQ and 325 HP...I don't know what that would translate to at the crank. We've learned a few things and can tweek it a lot more, but it's really fun to run as it is...and it's very reliable.
