Easier for you to measure them with calipers than have us guess from a picture.

If you don't have calipers, then take a strip of paper, wrap it around, and mark it at the point it overlaps. Then measure the distance between the marks (or the end and the mark) and divide it by 3.1415926, that will be your diameter.

The 951 and the regular 944 have the same torsion bar diameter unless it was equiped with the upgraded suspension. M030?

The bars are where I can't get at them for the moment. The reason I posted the pic is that the color code (yellow/orange) tells the story; however, I can't find the link that lists the codes. May have to go back to Rennlist, those days were the last time I recall seening this info online.

The stock bars that were removed from my '83 were tagged in yellow like the ones in your picture.

Stock size was 23.5 mm

Color doesn't really mean anything, my S2 bars are 24.5mm and they are yellow and blue just like those.

These are yellow and orange. Thinking back maybe 8 years to the reign of the Rennlist mailing list, somewhere on some enthusiast's site there was a chart with the meaning of the color codes. IIRC blue and white was a 924 or 924S bar, M030s are some other color combination, etc.; each diameter had a 2-color combination, one color on each end, to aid the factory assembly process. This info may have dissolved into antiquity, but I doubt it. I'll dig out the bars and measure them for now and keep digging for info...thanks Al
