Moving

I don't have the 951 anymore, but I still wanted to let everyone know I am following my dreams and moving south. Way South. Miami!!!! I am truly pumped about this. Hopefully I can get together with some P-Car guys down there, because someday I will be rich and a the thought of a 968 Turbo makes me pee my pants. And then, when it breaks, it will be only a 4 hour drive to Juvy, where I will pay for service with scotch.

Sweet.

Welcome to the sunshine and plywood state.

Drfop me a line when you get down here. 4 hours is a bit extreme - you gan get to Miami from where I am in about 3 hours with spirited driving.

Cool!

I've got family in Melbourne and Cocoa Beach, and had been thinking of a road-trip some time...

FR:

Good points on hurricane proofing. Out here in the land of fun and sun (3,600 hours of sun per year on the average), we do have some dandy storms in the Summer (called microbursts that can tear off roofs). Metal hurricane ties are "de rigour" for new construction, and many older houses are retrofitted. Some even have updated windows that are more resistant to breakage from flying debris.

No hurricanes, though. And no 100% humidity with temps in the 90s!!

Yeah..I know....Hot Hot Hot. But out here in the Summer we are akin to cockroaches. We don't come outside until the sun goes down. The rest of the year....Sweeeeeeeet....Can't remember the last time I had to dig out thje raincoat...

Have fun down in South Fla...

I took a week off 2 years ago when it was about -20 here in Indy and went down there...

Sure was nice to thaw out on South Beach with such nice sights!

Went to the other side of the state last year (Naples) Much more laid back on the gulf side...
