zim's autotechnik
time to change the belts on my '84. Plan on buying a belt and roller set from zim's, I was wondering if anybody has used them and how their service is. this will be the first time I have changed the belts. I already have a kricket but I am thinking of buying arnn's tool too, was wondering how many of you have used it and how you like it.

I hate zims. i don't know if there is more than one, but the one here in Texas will screw u over in a second if ur not sitting there watching them do the work, and they charge u out the a$$$$$$$$$$$$$

I've had great luck with Zims and use them regularly for parts. In fact, ShApE's review is the first bad one I've seen about them.
Maybe it's just the service department he's had trouble with?

I have never had them service a car before, but I have had great luck with ordering parts by mail order from them. Good prices and prompt service. I give them a A grade for mail order.

Don't know about car service department.

I've ordered from them 5 times, every single time they were nice, prompt and everything was correct. Couldn't ask for any more. Plus, they're the cheapest for a LOT of things (for example my 951 clutch kit).
I will order from them again.

good to hear all the posotive feedback. I plan on buying there timing and balance belt kit with the rollers, I think the price was $140. Sounds like a good price to me.

Picked up my motor mounts, rebuilt water pump and radiator from them on seperate occassions. All great prices and excellent service. I would highly recommend them.

I have arnn's tool, it seems to work great, its made very well.
I have his pin wrench, and tensioner wrench, tools also

i dont know about ordering from them, but i took my car up there to get sum work done (about $700 in parts), i left little blue marks w/ a paint pen on the parts i needed replaced, they called a few days later said it was done, i paid. come home and i see little blue marks on all my original parts
