this may be a long shot given the thread is 15+ yrs old but...
JivenJim - how did you get the manual speedometer to work with the electronic gearbox? and how did you get the tachometer to read the signals from the 968 ECU?

I used a speedo pick up from Lindsey Racing on my '86 944. Not sure that works for early 944 or 924S. A GPS speedo could be another option but not dor me as not legal for road use where I am.

This? if so it doesn't solve what I need since my gearbox already has the electronic speedo sensor but i have to somehow make it work with the manual speedometer which accepts a speedometer cable
