Question on Hydraulic lifters new/used
Well, I just currently came across a set of New lifters and a set of used lifters that have only been used for an hour. What is you're guys opinion on wich set i should buy.
Of course im going to try to get the set that is new but just incase the x-mas money isent enuff is it worth getting the uses lifters or si 1 hour of run time enuff to really damage the lifters and inhibit there use? Thanks for the imput J

Why would you only use a set of lifters for an hour? AFJ

The Other set of lifters was used for a start up engine. I guess to check a rebuilt engine or a used engne to check if lifters were bad.. Honestly For a start up engien is all i know.

Can a lifter be repaired when it becomes "soft" and how?

Never, ever use lifters from a different cam.
