Drove the car to Anaheim this weekend

Yep, from Seattle to Anaheim and back. Went there for the NAMM show, a very large trade show for the music industry.

The drive went without a hitch. The car ran perfectly. Only had to stop and put oil in once on the way there, and once on the way back, because of a balance shaft leak.
There was some minor altitude suffocation going through the mountains, but other than that, it was all top-notch. No overheating problems, even through the mountains.

Gas milage was fairly steady at about 30pmg on the way down, which was good considering the sustained high speeds I was holding for miles on end. Virtually no traffic, except for trucks. There was a reason I left late at night.... The trip there took three 13.5 gallon fills plus two gallons at the start of Tejon Pass. One 13.5 gallon fill netted 450 miles. Chevron super all the way.
On the way back, I had a nasty headwind through ALL of California, so it took almost four tanks to get back.

One thing though, did get freaky. Just out of Seattle, I happen to see a bright flashing light coming from under my hood. Looked like a fire getting blown around by wind. I freaked, but discovered it was my under-hood light...so I removed it.

For a little while, my underhood light would come on by itself with the hood closed but the headlights on. It must have been a loose sensor somewhere (near the latch?). It must have settled into place and fixed itself.
