Exclamation Fog light trouble

Hi!, I have a problem with my fog light. They wont come on. My car is a porsche 944 N/A 1986. The relay is new and the fuse is okay, I really don't know what to do. Maybe is the wire? The trouble started when I changed my fog light bulb. In the store, the guy said to me to put a H3 100 watt and not the original H3 55 w. After some days, the other fog was dead too, so I bought a other H3 100w. After a short moment the both fog lights don't want come on. I changed the relay, put two new H3 fog light 55w, and nothing happen. What can I do now?
thanks

Have you double checked the wire connection inside the bumper?! The bumper comes off very easily. My connection had come loose and caused this problem. I'm not an electronics wizard but I would think you might consider going back to the original bulbs too.

Good luck!

The guy in the store lied to you. Unless you upgrade or modify the wiring, installing a 100 watt lamp will cook the wires.

If you want to have good lighting, go with a "ricer" Super Blue 55 watt lamp.

Time to break out a multi-meter and do some circuit tracing.

I too am thinking you may have melted something. Upgrading from 55 to 100 watt bulbs almost doubles the amp load on the wires, and it is very likey that they or the switch gave out. You will need to test for where things went wrong, and put a relay in place to run this upgrade safely.

Regards
Graham
