changing door locks?
Has anyone changed out their door locks? I just put on a used handle that has a different lock/key & cant figure out how to swap the locks so I can use my orig key.

you have to change the tumbler *before* you install the handle.
Take it off, remove the phillips head screw and swap the tumbler.

I think there is a screw opposite the key that retains the cylinder. Insert key, remove screw, slide out cylinder, replace with old one, and replace screw. **Use the key to keep the tumblers/very small springs from falling out**

OK, I got it. My tumbler was kinda stuck & I didnt want to force it at 1st. All is well now. Thanks!!!!
