968 Tall Driver fit?
I'm in the early stages of a 968 hunt, but I need to know how well the 968 accommodates a tall driver ( 6' 7", 230 lbs, 36 inseam). I have spent my life folding into various cars, so I don't have high expectations of cockpit comfort.

its going to be tough. i am 6'1" and the sun visor nearly hits me in the forehead.
its possible that you can buy aftermarket seat brackets that will lower the seat, or an aftermarket race style seat, but i think you are going to be rubbing your head on the roof of the car.

If you like to drive with a gangster lean (i.e. seat set very far back, leaned way back), then you're fine. Besides, you'll look super-cool doing it
![]() I'm just over 6', and I have to lean my seat back pretty far to keep my head out of the ceiling. My G/F is 5'4", and she fits very well into the passenger side however...

take out the drivers seat and sit in the back. I remember seeing this in a Police Instructional Video. I belive it was called "Police Academy"
Sounds to me like you need to find a 944 or 968 car to sit in to know for sure. |

i'm 6'2" and don't have the seat all the way back and don't hit my head on the visor or roof.

Best thing is to find one on a car lot or one someone is trying to sell. There seems to be a lot in your area, so go try one on! 6'7"...that's pretty tall. Good Luck, hope to see you back telling us about your recent purchase.

it depends where you're the longest, from the waist up or down as to the headroom.

I've owned a 944, 951 and a 968 cab. I'm 6'4" 240+ pounds. I fit well in the 944 and 951 with the seat all the way back. The 968 is bit tighter but still OK. The windshield on the 968 cab is a bit shorter than the coupe. With the top down I don't notice that at all. And with the top down there are no head room issues either.
Best bet is to find a seat and have a sit to see what you think.

Thanks for all the replies. It looks like I'll need to sit in a few and judge for myself. I guess a 911 is an option if I can't squeeze in to one.

I am 6'2", 36" inseam. I have the seat forward one notch, and I can nearly fit into the car with a helmet on. The helmet touches the sunroof though, preventing head turning.

i am 6' and my wet hair has a nice swirl to it by the time it dries...
the bucket is small my bucket ain't huge 33" x 33" jeans... my left leg doesn't seem to appreciate the pressure from the seat cushion...might be rough on longer than 30-60 minute trips... but, it is so much fun to drive i am ignoring any discomfort.
