Looks like to me, the car was hit, so he made(or had made) his own custom bodywork.

A handle to drag it home by when it breaks! Perfect! Or better yet, a handle to drag it in by for warranty repairs...

Stripes = BAD
wing = BAD
rockers = GOOD
side vents = OKAY

Overall it seems alright.
$44.95/month for warranty... ha, bet it's not worth a cent if something breaks. $540/year for full powertrain,ac,etc. coverage sounds damn good to me. I've paid about 3-4x that much on every 944 I've ever owned just in parts.

I talked to these guys yesterday and it turns out this car is one of a handful of factory five cylinder 944s made. This fact and the body work made this a no brainer for me, I have to add this to my collection. I can park it next to my 924 truck and custom '83 944 convertible. WOW, this is going to be cool, I can't wait.

Plus this is meant to be since this is my 420th post.

I HOPE you are joking about the 5-cyl thing. I dont think Porsche ever made a 5-cyl, but thats beside the point. Look at the photos of the engine. Just a normal 4-cyl 944 engine with only 4 spark plug wires.

Porsche didn't make a 5cyl. engine for the 944... But Audi did.

Wonder how much turbulence is caused by the two spoilers in the rear working against each other... Would love to see how horrible the airflow is on that car in a wind-tunnel!

I like white stripes on a red car. I would scrap the bodywork, though.

In any case, it's better than the car being painted slime lime or some other rice color.

Sorry, its back on ebay, and they've swapped it for a regular inline four.
