We are speaking of the voltage regulator that attaches to the alternator? I'm curious where I can get one too...

Make sure this is the correct regulator for your year 944. Early alternators are different from the later.

You can push the alternator to over 14.5 volts. Necessary for some of the more robust stereo applications. You can get over 16 volts out of an alternator when you bypass the regulator.

I used the search function for this part of the forums; "Iceshark adjustable regulator".

Icesharks head lights are so bright..............I always think about him when I turn them on.

Dan Wray was definitely one of the good ones. Very sad. I noticed I still have his emails in my outlook.

Is it just me, or can you not actually order a voltage regulator from either of the links posted above?

Zorkos doesn't have online ordering, but you can send them an email with the part numbers you need, and they will give you a quote. You can then pay with paypal. I bought a regulator for my 951 from them, and everything went smoothly.

I sent the email out to um this morning got a response within minutes. Sent a few e-mails back in forth about product payment etc. Paypal'd Ken the monies got my reciept and a Verification from USPS and ken letting me know it was beign sen't out priority mail. Orderd 2 of um just in case. We will see how it works when i install. Maybe my robust stereo system will stop draining my batt ( crosses fingers). I hope that's the reason. Willl post updates on how the install goes.

Sorry But here's the Update:
Ordored the part from zorkos Very freindly and responded to emails quickly. 2 thumbs up to Ken b/c I ordered 2 regulators and they were shiped priority mail and got here in like 3 days Awsome.

Opened up the box and cheked out both regulators. The adjustment screw was dirrerent on one then the other (lower voltage). So i put in the one that i thought was adjusted lowest so i could go from there (stock adjustment should be 14.4v). While I was at it i also replaced the Bellhousing to chasis ground 4guage. Replaced the Alternator to starter wire (8gauge stock) with a 4 guage, Replaced the 4 gauge factory power that goes from the Starter to the battery. Loomed and ziped tied everything.

Car ran better with the new voltage regulator installed and replacing old with new power cables (better). Ran it for like 2 days Stereo + A/C running to work one day and the battery died. Recharged the battery doped it back in and checked the Gronds all 0 ohms wich is perfect BUT!. The regulator was adjusted at like 14-14.125.( hence my dead battery) Pumped that baby up after 2 tries i got it to put out 14.45-14.5 max with the engine reved up. Car runs even better now Seems to have more power, Lights are even more improved then when i just replaced the power and ground cables running about 14.1v. I get smoother better accell. My current accell with my a/c on is about the same acell i had before with no a/c on. Fuel economy got better i think and The most important.

It's been a few days now and running the radio and a/c more then i used to and my batery hasent died yet. My car cranks over just as easy today as it did a few days ago cuz my batter isen't dying. May adjust to 14.6 or a lil higher cuz i know my batter could still take a lil mor chargin as it doest feel completly charged but it doesent get any worse running my Audio system longer and harder then i did before.

Will put up pics of the power n ground cables i upgraded soon as i find the usb cable
