...cover for the headlight relay. Mine is shot, so I bought a new one from our BB sponsor. I didn't even think about how I was supposed to physically replace it.
Looks like: Disconnect battery. Carefully cut off old one. Remove wire connectors from plug, noting which goes where. Push wires through new rubber boot. Reconnect wire connectors to plug. Enjoy. I only did a cursory perusal of some regular sites and didn't really find a procedure. Am I missing anything? spell check rules

Damn Edik,
Way to go! I can't imagine what happened to the original relay cover. I love that you feel the need to replace it! I thought, at first, that you were talking about the motor cover which happens to be a major PITA. Keep us posted on what happens because I think you are on the right track. I need to replace my wiring to the relay so if a cut is involved then we are on the same path! peter

Hey, can you post a link to that cover? I'm assuming it's the one that goes onto the headlight motor, but not the one that covers the manual gear to raise them...
I need a new one too. Mine's so torn up, I just took it off. |

Search this site for "477971923". It's called a relay protection cap.
