central locking switch bypass test
Does any know how to jump the sw to force a test of the central locking system?
The switch is broken, and before I order that $50.00 sw I would like to see if the servos work or not. I am not much on wiring diagrams. So based on the photo can I jump to test? Also how does this operate? Does this lock all doors and then just unlock manually? http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1162069252.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1162069727.jpg |
Not an answer to your question, but I think some here have been able to disassemble the switch and clean the inside to make it work again.

I took the sw button off,
Is there something missing? (Nothing to stop the button from flopping back and forth, also I don't see how it could make a contact)http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1162077753.jpg |
I always thought these switches were full of small springs and tiny clips.

switch
one press locks the doors and lights the red indicator light, press it again and it unlocks. you should be able to jump it with a small wire in the connector, the doors should be closed. and the window open, just in case that becomes the only way out!

I took another sw apart to see what should be there, and yes parts missing. I guess someone before me said screw it and just put it back together like it is.
I get 10v in the plug on the two term at the end with the resistor. I tried jumping the term where the flip switch bar should be. I hear nothing in the doors. why 10v and not 12v and what else should I check |
hmmm, that parts beyond me

10v probably means a bad connection somewhere before the switch such as the fuse box. May have been why it didn't work in the first place and they suspected the switch. Look on Ebay, I think I saw some switches there the other day. Also, if you want to check out the actuators before you buy the swith, just run a test power cable directly to the actuator and see if it works. If it does, then buy the new switch and see what other problems exist with it.
