944 turbo body question

My 86 turbo 944 was hit on the driver side rear. It is fixable and am going to have it fixed. My question is this:
I know the front end on a turbo is different than an 944 n/a. But from the doors back are all 944's the same ( except for the holes for the rear valence ). I have access to many n/a's that I can cut up but before I do I want to make sure the body panels are the same. Are there differences from 83-85.5, and then 86 up.
Any help would be appreciated.

Could you describe how you replaced the quarter? I have to do one too, did you go all the way back to the spot welds, or just cut and butt weld the replacement in place?

Any hit in the rear is usually a total loss, unfortunately since it's welded. If you can do it yourself, more power to you but you might seriously have to consider whether it's worth it.

porshe body

Thanks for all the feedback. The car has in fact been fixed. I purchased an 87 n/a with a good body and cut the rear quarter ( just above the wheel back and part of the rear panel). I am of course parting out the rest of the car.
The cost of the repair was not so bad as the the frame was not hit. Only the body panel ( at the corner of the rear ) was folded over. The body shop did a very good job - except for the inner markings which will be grinded down, it is hard to tell the car was hit. The car is waiting to be sprayed. Decided to do the whole car instead of trying to match a 20 year old paint.
I just could not in the end, send the car to the junk yard. Spent years trying to find a turbo that was in my price range and the insurance company covered everything and then some.
Thanks again. If anybody in richmond va needs porsche body works i would suggest wilson body ship on E belt blvd. He has years experience on porshces. Came highly recommended by a porsche repair shop.
Thanks again!
Another turbo lives on!
