So here is something interesting that i'll throw out to you guys to think about... I could figure this out on my own but others opinions are always worth hearing...
Its funny, I was driving home from work and then all of a sudden the two-way power seat started to raise from the back and lean me towards the stearing wheel and hitting my head on the roof. I was driving at this time doing about 65 MPH and I got pushed into the brakes and almost lost it. ![]() I didn't even notice what was happening until it was too late. Now I can;t get the seat to go back... I'm sure it blew the fuse because when I got home I checked the passenger seat and it wouldn't move either. I didn't go into it much further than that because I'm going to catch some Z's. Just another project to do and another thing to add to my list. Thanks for reading... any thoughts?

Both my motors don't work, and my seat is stuck there also :\

i was driving on my manual seat that wasn't locked.... i floored the gas, causing my rather large 215lb frame of a body into the seat that preceded to fly backwards on it's rails... made me jerk the wheel pretty good, and in a panic my other foot tapped the brake in one of the flailings... no harm done though.. always check those seats!
yours sounds like a sticky switch.. or something.. i dunno.. lol

Sticky switch, maybe... but I haven't touched it at all, not in weeks. I wonder what set it off... hmmm, maybe a bump or vibration....
Anyone got any ideas cuz I'm stumped. I'm just gonna disconnect the wires and try to manualy move the motors later tonight when I'm free. I figure if I can put current through the switches and make the motor go back to a somewhat comfortable position I'd be fine to leave it disconnected... Thanks in advance

you're not the first person i've read about on here with a seat that had the mind of it's own... it's probably a short in the motor or switch... nothing else could really cause it to move like that.

Anything wedged between the seat & door/parking brake handle?

Nothing wedged there... I was reading up on this forum about cleaning the switches... I'm gonna try that this weekend. Thanks for the responses.

heh, my car did the same thing to me. Only difference was it was after dark and I was on a windy twisty road. The back came up and the front went down. I'm sure it is the switch because both of the switches are busted. i've already procured a new switch assy. and have had a new bottom seat cover for a while, I just need to get the girlie's POS out of the garage so I can work on it. Also need to figure out the trim around the switches as the PO just threw it all in a box and I can't see how this is supposed to work.
nate /baby it's cold outside

I'll let you know once I figure it out. I'll get into it some time tonight or Saturday... I'll put up pics if needed and how (if) I did it.
