Oil type and other 944 care and maintance
OK all,
I have been using vavoline blended synthetic in my GMC v6 vortex engine for the last 185,000 miles and it works great. My question is my 1984 944 Porsche has had penzoil in it by looking at the windshield sticker. Would it hurt to have all the penzoil drained then the synthetic blend by vavoline put in its place? Or should i leave it alone and continue using the penzoil? Also what do you put on the rear spoiler to make it look good? Will Armour all work? Or is that a bad idea as well? Any help will be appreciated. ![]() Dave |

Mother's Back to Black on the rear spoiler.
Changing brand of oil isnt a big deal. Going from regular dino to synthetic can make small leaks into larger ones. If your car doesnt leak anything than i wouldnt worry about it. If parts of your engine are 'wet' but no drips, i would probably advise against it until you fix the leaks.
