O2 Sensor

I need to replace my O2 Sensor. I have an early 944 so its a single wire sensor. Is there a universal type i can use or any after market types? as PP wants 130 for a new one.

Awesome, thanks.
One more thing, The brown connector for O2 Sensor wire, above speed and ref sensor. Well that connector has snapped off on me, the brown part, just fell apart from age. does anyone know the part # for that connector?

The O2 sensor.

SoCal, are you saying that brown thing is part of O2 Sensor?
I am not quite getting what you said.

I bought mine from autozone for about $20 and they had it in stock. just make sure NOT to solder it together but use the crimp connector.

If that brown connector is attached to the end with the O2 sensor and it is broken, you may be better off not buying the universal O2 but the one from Pelican instead. (If it comes with the brown thingy)

It is the main connector for the O2 sensor. You should find a black two wire connector close to it. Offset pins. This is the power for the heated sensors.

Hmm does anyone have a replacement for this brown connector?

dan476 03-20-2007 07:56 PM

SoCal, what connector are you talking about? also do you have a part # for it?

SoCal Driver 03-20-2007 08:12 PM

Butt splice the new sensor to the wire on the other side of the connector.
