What type of chip?

What type of chip are some of you NA guys running? I'm thinking about getting a chip for my machine. I have read good things about FR Wilks chips on here and they seem to be very good. I just like to weigh my options. Are the chips worth the money?

Since you have a 85.5+ car, your options are many compared to the early 944. FRWilk's chips are great, but good luck finding them now. If Russell Berry makes a 944 chip, his would probably be your best option. I run them on my 951 and I am very satisfied.

I believe FR-wilk is still taking orders, He contatced me a couple weeks ago. Try e-mailing him. OR you can wait and see if Russelll is going to make a NA chipset for his max tune. I asked him about it a while back, and he answered my first e-mail but not the second one. I have also heard he has been having health issues.

I have been in email contact with Wilks the past couple of days and he's still taking orders. Check his web site, there is a link to it in a boost thread I had a few weeks ago. I think it is frwilk.com

if you order something from him and it works, let me know. I'd love to start recommending him again. He had a great product.

Will do Kyle. His site has been updated and has some new for 2007 items, he's been very prompt and good to answer emails and such so I feel 100% confident ordering from him. Now I just need to decide what I want to do with my machine, whether I want to cam and chip it or go with a conservative turbo setup. The turbo would be more powerful, more fun and more work. The cam and chip (exhaust, intake etc.) would be more of a work in progress type thing that I could do without such a high initial investment as the turbo and still boost my power reasonably. I'm kind of looking for the illusion of fast with my car. I would gladly accept fast, but as it's been said many times that requires alot of effort and primarily $$$ It's a shame Wilk's chip is not compatible with both N/A and aftermarket turbo, then if it did I supose it would suck at both LOL. He remaps the ignition curve and gives it a good bit more advance in places which would totally wreck my turbo for the amount of boost I can run with out lowering compression. Oh well.
