A/C Once again

Ok.. so i bought an a/c kit.. with gague for pressure etc..

put the gague on .. turned a/c on like the instructions said.. gague reads 30lbs

put can in and open valve... pressure goes up to well past the gagues reading.

take can and gague off and all the gas blows out of the system

seems like something is stuck..

any help would be appreciated

Mike, you are having a tough time with that stuff! With the temps we are having this summer you might be better off working on it next year. What is it right now? 76 degrees F here??? I actually had my HEATER running last night on HIGH with the roof off!

Print it, read it, study it. It's the only real help I have for A/C. Did you try looking it up in the manuals?

Thank you icey.. hahaha.. I read it.. and i read it again..and i read it once more...

Im pretty sure something is broken... or clogged

I had the thing checked out and fitted by a *****ty little place full of ex-cons and they changed the fittings for me and changed one O ring... told me the system seems fine..

I dont know if the compressor is kicking in.. i hear in the car when i press the button to put the a/c on, a change in the air system... but i dont hear the "clicking" that everyone talks about...

when im underneath.. i just hear engine and fans...

Effing thing just fills up with gas.. but i dont think its going anywhere... like it isnt kicking in to let the gas go thru the whole system... and then when i take the refill parts off of the low side.. it just blows out of the valve .. as if the valve isnt able to maintain a seal anymore either.. can that valve be replaced? it looks like the type you would put on a tire or something..but now has a fitting for a quick release plug.

anyone know where i should start? New compressor?

Your valve is bad - it shouldn't all come back out - It should be like a tire valve and when you release it it should seal. They do go bad sometimes.

when the systems are full, and on, they can read a pressure of approx 200psi... so maybe it's just full? i dont know..
