Can someone explain early 944 tachometer wiring to me?

My 944 apparently has a storied history and has had the 0,5 green wire coming tachometer pin 6 cut. If i reconnect it to where it was cut off, the car won't start, instead sputtering out and dying.

My question is - where can I jump this wire to get the tach working again? Does the other end of this connector lead to the ignition coil, or back to the DME? The wiring diagram is not totally clear. Any insight would be very valuable.

Sorry, I meant the green 0,5 wire coming from the tachometer has been cut.

If handy, I would try a different tach. . .it may have a internal short that is killing the ignition.
