rained last night: 944 turn signal fuse keeps popping
the short of it:
we had a massive rain storm here last night. today i had my car re-inspected and it kept popping turn signal fuses. the obvious: something is shorted out the question: where should i look first. the interior is dry, but the rear lights have some water in them. of course i should dry them out first. is that where 100% of the problem is or is there another nook and cranny i should check. thanks! obin

The rear lights are a good place to start. Infact, start with the rear hatch drain tubes located above the pin catch. Make sure the tubes are connected to the drain holes (and clear of debris).
One thing I have done (from a tip on this board) is to drill the smalled hole pobbile in the lower middle tail light for added drainage (atleast that was the light that didnt drain water for me). Check the front & side turn signals as well. I know for me the housing for the side signals would take on a bit of water now and again.

yep its probably (97% ) the water in the rear taillights that is causing it. Check also under the hood the the water is draining out from where the fuse box is, Whenever it rained i had a little fish tank in there until i cleaned out the drainage holes next to the fender...lol

On the earlies our fuses are inside the cabin, not under the hood, so I'd start with the water in back.

maybe the fusebox is getting wet - hose down the fusebox with WD-40? (wow, an actual VALID application for the stuff)
