After driving in a heavy rain for about 100 miles and stopped. I went to restart and it failed to start for the first time ever. ( I guess it had to happen someday )
It would turn over but not start. It did exatly like the time I forgot to plug the air flow sensor on. I checked the plug to the air flow sensor. nothing Checked the ref and speed sen, nothing I pulled the DME relay and the coil wire and reattached ( I should have done one thing at a time but I was in a hurry and I had no tools ) Shazam it starts right up. The question, was it the dme or coil wire poor connection because of rain, or something else ? Ideas? Just curious what I can do to prevent next time.

Pull the dme relay first next time
![]() Listen for fuel pump prime during start. And have a cheap spare dme relay. My local shop charged £6 recently, say $12. What the hell happened to your dollar? Russell.
