After my 1984 944's fuel pump went it has been sitting for about 2 months. Obviously the batery has sience died. After charging it for 4hrs it doesn't even turn over. It was turning over fine before I let it sit. Charger says that it is fully charged, dont get it! All lights work. Please help!!

Try these things first.

Bang on starter and solenoid with heavy object. I personally use a 1" pipe and jab at it.
Try to hand crank the engine to see if it's seized
Chock the wheels, put the car in neutral, leave the ignition key out, and try starting the engine from the starter.

If all your lights work, the battery must have some good power.
Clean your grounds, but I doubt it is the cause of the problem as the starter wont turn over at all.

How old is the battery? Many good batteries go bad when they are discharged too far.

A few ideas:
1. clean the battery cables (both ends of both cables) and battery terminals
2. check the battery voltage
3. see what the voltage does when you try to start the car
4. if you do get it started check the voltage with it running
5. try a known good battery

Disconnect your battery.
Remove the 2 wires connected to your selenoid and clean their connection plates with fine sandpaper. Insulate the large wire so it cannot ground out.
Reconnect the battery
Check to see if you are getting 12V to the little wire when you turn the key.( Use a Digital Volt Meter, about $30 - $50 at almost any home depot/lowes/sears) If no 12V you might want to try replacing the ignition switch. If you get 12V there's a reasonable possibility the selenoid/starter is bad.
Before buying a new one you can try this: remove the starter from the car. If you can remove the selenoid from the starter, use some fine sandpaper to clean up the selenoid cavity and the plunger. Lubricate the plunger/cavity with WD-40 or such. Reassemble the selenoid to the starter and test by attaching 12V (I use a battery charger on 10 AMP setting) to the large wire post of the selenoid and ground the starter body, and jump between the large post with the 12V on it to the small post that used to have the little wire, using a screwdriver. Make sure you hold the starter secure before doing this. If you've fixed things, the starter should turn pretty well. If not you probably need a new starter. If fixed, reinstall starter on car and drive. If not, buy new starter, install and drive.
