Unhappy passenger window

recently its been looking a lil laggy, but tonight, i lowered it and it just wouldnt go up again. it wasnt even budging. I only took it half way down so i can still see the window, it doesnt look jammed. does this usually mean the motor is dead, or is there hope yet. might it be the pad or just because its really cold?. if anyone can give their 2 cents id appreciate it

also i realized that the button connected to the passenger door seems to be a little broken it doesnt click down too well, feels really loose and feels a lil broken. would this have any effect on me pushing the button from the driver door and it still not working? like if the button placed on the pasenger door is fried, would it delete my option to pull the window up?

thanks

found a solution

ok i figured out the problem. apparently if one of the window switches are broken for a certain window, the other switch for that window wont work either. i tested it, and it worked. so if this ever happens o you, don't freak out.

window 1 = driver window(1 switch)
window 2 = passenger window)
in my case #2 wasnt working the switch on the passneger door wasnt working
you can test it by pulling the switch from window 1 that for window one and putting it into the slot on the passenger window. if both switches are working you can pull the window up and down again.
if you need a new switch they go for about 10-20 dollars on ebay

sorry if this is confusing hopefully this can help anyone

Welcome to the 'board - lots of good help here...

Dirty power window switches are fairly common. If you're adventurous, you can take the switches apart, clean and then lubricate them. Take them apart carefully as the contacts go back in a specific way. I did this with the power roof switch as well (ended up being an out-of-adjustment limit switch). I have not tried to do this with the headlight switch yet as I haven't had any problems with it.
