I broke my idle adjustment!!!!

OmG! ok so if you have been following my post about my idle issue you know that im waiting on some parts to swap around and narrow down the issue. today i thought i would just turn my idle up a 1/4 turn so i can at least idle at a stop light above 300 rpm.

so i took my 10mm and....snap! i nearly passed out. now this didnt move the screw so i figured i was cool until i had a chance to put the other throttle body on. so im driving around and my car was idleing at 1000. i thought it fixed its self. this car was running better than ever.

a mile or 2 later it was at 1500, then 2000 with in a few miles i was at 4000 rpms and looked like a moron trying to shift. of course i hit every light on the way home. so i get home and see that the screw had worked itself out.

so rather than risking snaping the screw on the other throttle body, i just swapped it all out.
its sticking. idles great runs good but the throttle body seems to be sticking open just slightly making it idle at about 1700 rpm.
i have to lift the hood and manually move the trottle back to a normal position where it idles a little high.
can this be fixed or should i put the old one back on with the screw from the other?

I would check out why it's sticking and see if I could fix that. Try some lubricant or maybe take it off and clean it.

i was afraid you would say that. i wanted someone to just say "just close your eyes and cout to 5"
