Nice interior, very retro, lol! Does it run? A running "junker" 924 for $450 is a good deal. Looks like a fun cheap investment.

It is a 1977 Martini edition. It's not in too bad of shape. It tries to run, sorting out fuel issues at the moment. New fuel filter will be here tomorrow, PO removed the tank and cleaned it out. We sold my step sons volvo so he could pay off some debts and he wanted to get this with some of what he had left. I thought it would be a good first P-car and he is excited to work on it

Cool ! I would say that is a good find for $450. When I got my '87 924S it hadn't run in over 10 years. I went completely through the entire fuel system, since it had a full tank of varnish. I got it all sorted thanks to a lot of help from the folks on this board, and am now knee deep in a turbo rebuild on my '81.

I started with the '77.5 and 79 924. Your experience with the '87 944 will help with similar problems once you get it running. Shifter slop-go to the coupler back by the trans and check the bolt for wear as well. The fuel pump relay/fuse mounted on top-if it gets really hot while running check all grounds. The belt, water pump-EASY. If you have given your keys for the '87 944 to your stepson for a ride, the '77 will become the down payment for his 951. This is after you spend hours of your time helping him and paying for the parts.

If it came with the kid in the passenger seat.....then I'd say to be prepared for additional expenses.

LOL...I had a similar thought as Tidy when I saw the first picture then scrolled down and well, his response was actually better than mine. Nice response Tidy.
