944S no spark - power into distributor
My 944S will not start. I have power (12 volts) into the distributor but i am not getting spark. I don't have power out of the distributor. I have tested and cleaned the distributor cap and it tests fine to all terminal points.
The only thing I can think of is the cap and rotor are worn to the point where there is too much of a gap for spark to project(seems unlikely). I have ordered a new cap and rotor will be here next monday. The coil and ignition control module are new. Reference sensor tests good.

Put a plug into the wire coming from the coil and see if you have spark on the plug. If so, you know you have a spark going into the distributor and the problem is in there. I would also check the rotor and make sure you can't turn it on the shaft meaning the set screw is loose or missing.
