Easy Question

So I'm doing a head gasket job on my 951. I have the intake manifold off, and as I'm looking down onto the intake valve, I see this yellow valve guide. I always thought the valve guides were a copper looking like sleeve. But this looks nothing like that. I was wondering if this was what the stock valve guides look like, or is this symbolic of some previous head work, or do I have no idea what I'm looking at and thats not even the valve guide??

And yes I do know there is dirt on top of my valve. I accidently knocked it down there as I was removing the intake. No worries, I removed it right after I took the picture. Thanks!

The valve guides on my 951 looked exactly the same and the records from my car going back to '95 show no sign it was ever rebuilt.

Cool. I just had no idea. I probably made the biggest error when I bought my 951; I bought one that did not have any maintenance records. Sooo, 2 years and several bills later... I just thought since I didn't have any service history, I'd see if these were stock. Thanks, Techno!
