What would you pay for this car?
What is a realistic price for this car?
The specs are: • 1984 Guards Red 944 • 87,000 miles • Black leather interior (great shape, no tears) • 5 Speed • 15" Fuchs • Body and paint are in excellent condition. No dents or faded paint • Car has no mechanical issues. Runs excellent • All electrical components work properly ![]() SHAUN |

With the dealer premium, assuming there is some warranty, I would guess they are asking 6 and a half. You may be able to get that down to high 4 or low 5. Assuming it is pristine and a reputable dealer.

There's a lot of info missing.
Has the clutch been done? How long since the timing belts were replaced? Without that info i wouldn't pay more than $4k for it. If that was all done recently, maybe $5.5 or $6. There's a Silver Rose Turbo S for sale on Rennlist for $8k right now with about the same miles....

Looks too clean for an original 187K car. Almost too nice for an 87K car.

Those are 16" fuchs.. and perhaps even 951 offset fuchs at that. For 911 guys, they alone can be worth $1000
![]() I could see paying up to maybe $6k if all service is up to date and the mileage can be confirmed.

If you're paying that much, why not just put up an extra $2k and pick up the TurboS i mentioned? It's at least 10x the car!

That car is pretty similar (but in better condition) to my 83 with 75000 miles.
I would pay 6k, even if the clutch or belts haven't been done recently. I've got 15" fuchs but those look to be 16's.

The car is in much better shape cosmetically than my 83 with 90k miles. Mine has 15 inch Fuchs (genuine, I checked thanks to a thread on here). Paid $500. $200 in parts and machining to make it roadworthy.
