Heating Issues
So I am having trouble trying to figure out something. I have an 87 944 NA and the heat in the car is killing me. I have the fans in the car completely shut off (turned the know to off) yet there is still hot air coming through the vents. I also have the temp all the way down to the lowest setting and it is still just as hot. There seems to be no variation in the actual temp. In my other cars when you turn the temp down it seems to use the outside air and it gets cooler but not in the 944. I don't have the A/C charged right now and need to do so but I am wondering why the heat is so hot and why it won't shut off. Any ideas? Is it because the A/C isnt charged?
Thanks Brian

This has been covered many times here. Do a search and you will get all the info you need.
It's a simple problem of a broken $.50 clip.

Clark's has a good write up on this. Go to Heater Malfunctions and scroll down to Full Heat at All Temperature Settings (1985.5 and Newer 944s)
