I'm moving to Washington!

I'm taking a job in Washington state and moving out in less than 2 weeks. I am getting a place in North Bend. Im excited, I will finally have a garage, 2 deep with room for a workbench and parts.

I know I have seen some on this forum who live in WA so I would like to hear what kinds of events there are and what groups are the most active. I also am wondering about getting my car registered. It should pass emissions fine, safety?

This might possibly be the last cross country trip for my car (8th for the record). And if anyone who live along I-90 and needs a small part I have, I can drop it off on the way.

This is the biggest change I've done in a while, but with no school work to do and extra money, I might have time to work on my '44!

For an update, The first pic is my white shell being dragged away. The drivers door is toast and I wanted to grab the passenger but the guy showed up 30 minutes early.

I will be posting more once I get them off my phone, I've been too busy to take real pictures.

My 944 passes Wa State emissions just fine with no cat. If your car is running well, you will have no problem.

The local PCA is very active- competitive autocross group, DE days at Pacific Raceways, big turnouts for tours, yada yada....

The NW specific board here at Pelican is pretty active.

Welcome!

Cool, I gotta check that out. My issue is that I don't have a horn, e-brake, stock seat-belts, etc. California doesn't care as long as it passes emissions. In NY this car would never pass safety inspection. All the lights work fine, the 6-points are in good condition and within date. Brakes are all new, etc. It is in good condition, but some places only care about what's on their checklist.

As long as you already have a title, you're fine.

The only cars that need a safety inspection are cars rebuilt from salvage. Go get an emission test, and transfer the title.
