Wouldn't be such a big deal if I didn't live in Florida and have black interior...
Turn the AC on, and it does blow, but only at the passenger feet area. I looked up there, and that blower motor is certainly blowing, but it doesnt go through any of the vents. Any suggestions? Also, the air coming from the under the passenger dash area is not cold, so maybe a seal burst somewhere?? Thank You Steve

Are both of the top sliders to the middle? If so you have a problem with the manual actuator. I don't mean to sound belittling, but you do have the vents open right?
One big problem with the early cars, and the 924s, is the heater valve not closing fully and the a/c'ed air can mix with some heat from the heater core because, over time the foam seals on the blend doors do break down. This might be part of the problem, I know it is part of mine. You also may not have the right pressures in the a/c system for it to function properly. When functioning normally, you should get cold air no matter where you direct it. Sometimes the back of the control unit breaks (plastic) and the cable to close/open the heater valve no longer functions properly. However, when you switch the a/c on the blend door is supposed to close via a diaphragm on the drivers side about shin height, maybe a bit higher, which closes off the heater core from contaminating the air which crosses the cold evaporator. Your problem sounds like the sliders no longer work (at least partially) and they may have just become unhooked, or a grommet has disintegrated. I wish I tell you for certain, but I can only guess. I edited this post to death and still forgot to ask whether you can send the air where you want with the fresh air blower. I think the 924s has two fans like the early car. Yes, all the vents are open properly. I pulled some of the under dash material to take a look at the whole unit, and the blower fan is def. working. I tried all slider configs, like foot rest, center (both sliders pulled to the center). Lol, don't worry about belittling me, any help is good help. This is not my first 924S either, so im pretty familiar with the controls. One thing that I am not sure if its related: Althought the blower for the AC works, the blower for the heater does not. I havent had the time to figure out if its a fuse, a bad blower motor, or a problem with the heater fan speed know. I think the knob is ok, but not sure if the contacts are bad, but even it they were, at least one out of the four speeds would probably work. But for right now, im not concerned at all of the heater, I just don't know if thats related to the AC. It could be the sliders, I believe I can take the center console out to take a look. I have the 944 Workshop manual on a PDF file, I think that might help, but it might only show the later 944 dash, which is defferent than the 24S. Also, air (lukewarm) does come through the vents when I drive, so maybe one of the flaps from the blower motor is stuck shut? I appreciate your help, and more is certainly welcome
![]() P.S. My old 924S did have that broken clip problem you were talking about, that sucked. Hot air constantly blowing in with the hot summer florida weather gave me serious swamp-a$$ lol.
