Angry My 924S got towed!

Long story short.... I get into town late last night... theres only one parking spot free in front of my apartment... I park in it. I carpool to work with my roomate, get back from work... and my car is gone! Call the police, find its been towed. No stickers, no warnings, no nothing. So i pick my car up 1 hour after it had been towed away... and pay $150.

What really pisses me off is that my car... has NEVER been towed. Ever. I'm just wondering how the company would have gone about dragging my car out of the spot. And areas to look for any damage in. The car was dragged from the rear. I'm really upset now.

People shouldn't mess with your car... especially when you take this much pride in it. I took it very personally. That car is part of the family.

I gather that you will not be parking there again...

You got off cheap... a typical tow in NYC is $300 plus parking ticket of $150. If you are in a towaway zone for 30 seconds, they will pick it up and be gone by the end of the first minute.

You probably don't want to park in NYC either...

One time up in Hartford CT, I was at a concert, Really no parking left, So I stuffed my really nice toyota Tacoma in a nice place and made it so there was really No way to tow it (didnt think they would drag it out) Got out of the concert at 2am and my truck was GONE, SPent 2hrs calling tow truck companies and no one had it listed, SO i called the Police and they found it for me at some really Odd tow truck place on the OTHER side of the city. Well it cost me $400 and the ****er bent a tie rod draggin it out. I was pissed but it was really allll my fault. Anyway I learned if you think your gonna get towed you usually do and it sucks!!

What's wrong with that?

I do and currently have:

- '74 911
- '85 944
- '01 Mercedes SLK-320
- '02 Toyota Solara (wife's car)
- '99 Suzuki Katana (motorcycle)
- '71 914

And I've got a lead on a 931.

What's the problem?
