924S Workshop manual

Would anyone happen to have the workshop manual for the 924S? I have the workshop manual for the 944, and I am willing to do a trade/swap... Let me know.

Thanks
Steve

As far as I know, they never made a manual specifically for the 924S. Everything is covered in the 944 manual. The 924S is a mish-mash of early and late 944 parts.

I was actually referring to the interior. it never really references the 924S dash, only the 944. also, console switches and other stuff are different, and i am currently trying to troubleshoot my ac and heat system

Yeah, we're kinda in no man's land on things like that. The 924S dash is "mostly" the same as the early 944, but some of the wiring, etc, is like a late 944. Are you using the factory manual or the Haynes? The factory manuals, especially the wiring diagrams are alot better with 924S stuff.

Holy crap, you're right. I just checked my FSM, and there's nothing there for the early 944 or 924S dash. It's all late.

I bet you'd have to get an early 924 ('77-'82 in US) manual for that info. It says somewhere in there, "everything is the same as in the 924 manual, except what's in the 944 manual", or something like that.

In this case, we might be better off with a Haynes 944 or 924 book.

Yes, there is a 924 manual, which is actually the basis for the 944 manual.

There are some who have it on CDROM...

The Haynes manual for the 924 is actually quite good. It covers the stuff that isn't 944. For $15.00 it's good value.

Correct me if I am wrong, but if I "found" a manual for an early 924 to get info one the dash, wouldnt the be a lot of differences/changes in hardware and such between the 924 and the 924S?

If you are troubleshooting the HVAC an you need wiring diagrams, the model year specific 924S schematics are in the 944 factory service manual.
