Testing DME
On clarks page for testing the signal to the dme (http://www.clarks-garage.com/shop-manual/fuel-16.htm) Fuel Pump / DME Relay Primary Coil Activation it says to do the following:
Disconnect the plug from the DME Computer. Turn the ignition switch to the "ON" position and check for supply voltage (approximately 12 VDC) from the Fuel Pump / DME Relay to the DME computer electrical connector.Am I missing something here? But how can I check for voltage when it says to put 18 & 35 to ground? I am of course having a No Start issue. I'm not able to get spark at the spark plugs. Checking the ignition coil per clarks looks good so far. |
Make sure the connectors for the speed and reference sensors are connected. They are on top near the firewall end of the intake.

It should read;
Between terminal 18 and ground (terminal 5), and between terminal 35 and ground (terminal 5). Cheers, |
