How did you get your inner thermostat seal out.....
I am up for the challenge, I screwed up in trying to hook the bugger out of there and messed it up before i realized that it wasn't just a rubber seal , I have all of the external rubber off but the metal sleeve is still there, How did you get yours out- Dremel tool , screw driver, punch, needle nose, huge easy out ...........

Ok this is the easy and painless way to remove the inner seal.
Purchase a 1 inch internal pipe wrench found in the plumbing section of your local hardware or builders store for about ten bucks. The one i purchased had to have about 1/2 inch ground off the end to allow the expanding cam to grip it but i have seen others that look like they would work straight out of the box. Only a few twists and it was out! I cant stress the usefulness of the Snap On snap ring tool also, easy in easy out.
