951 rear suspension part #'s

I have my track car project up on 4 jack stands now (2 under the front puck areas and 2 on the torsion bar housing) and have proceeded to strip the front corners and rear brakes. The rear shocks have 951 part numbers and are what seems to be original porsche units. Is this normal? My other 924S has generic looking rear shocks with no porsche part numbers on them from what I could tell.

The shocks were gray and very new looking. Any info on how these are different than other shocks?
I see on pelican's catalog there are two rear shocks that start with 951, one is a M030 shock and the other is an M474 shock. I didn't write down the part numbers although now I see I should have. Are the two types different colors? How are they valved compared to newer koni's?
