I have mislead....

I've paid no attention to the sticker on my car that says the charge for the A/C is supposed to be 40.6 oz. I see it now though. I can honestly say I've read in the FSM that it's 950 grams or 2.09 lbs. I might have made a serious mistake, and I appologize to all that I may have steered in the wrong direction. 40.6 oz= 2.5lbs, multiply that by .8 = 2.03. The 80% is for R12 to 134, for Freeze 12 use 90%.

The guages still won't fuch you, unlike me. What does your book/intellect say on the capacity?

Well Matt, My intellect says that probably since I have no idea what this means and even if my mechanic would take the time to evacuate it to the 7 bar pressure required by Porsche, and fill it up accurately. I still would not know if he put in 40.06 OZ.

As you said, the guages used, and the tech will adjust for best performance.

This poster has no experience other than a can hooked to a neat guage.
