Passenger Side Power Window Problem

Hope someone can help on this one.

Currently getting the 924 back on the track. Checked out the power windows for proper function. Drivers side great. No problem up or down.

Passenger side will go up but not down. Cleaned contacts on switch. Same. Brought over drivers side switch-same up but no down.

Took door apart. Found plug to switch questionable. Several female connectors broken from prior work. Purchase used wire harness/plug and several switches. Also found one terminal on motor very corroded and broke off. Purchased new motor.

Last night installed new wire harness and new switch, connected to motor. Motor is not installed in up/down mechanism. Similar problem. Motor works one direction but not the other. Again tried drivers switch-same.

Have power to both termials on motor. If I switch the leads on the motor can get motor to run the other direction.

What's wrong???

Also, does the window mechanism need to be in any spot prior to installing the motor.

Please be advised electrical is not my strong point

probably the connector upstream - porsche like to make their harness with lots of sub-harnesses and intermediate connectors - i just had this exact problem in one of my 968s - it was a bad connection just forward of the door inside the kick panel
