Airbag fault codes
I used Clarke's Garage to get my fault codes: 30 and 27
30 - Failure Warning Lamp short circuit, check control lamp??? check wiring harness 27 - Ignition Pill circuit 1 break (drivers airbag) plug to driver's airbag, check, replace... According to Clarke, fix issue or replace control unit for both. Hmm, anyone have any thoughts? I have had the driver's airbag out and checked the connection. I could put a multi-meter to it and verify connection. If I am to check the wiring harness any suggestions where to start? Also check control lamp? help...

Update,
I found one of the faults. The contact unit in the steering wheel. ![]() The yellow plug (2 male connectors) goes to the red plug (2 female connectors). Well, using my trusty Fluke multimeter I see either connector from the male side gives continuity to either on the female side. Looks like I need a new contact unit. Any one have one for sale?
