924S core hoses?

Hey Folks:

Need a little help here...I am doing the heater core on an 87 924S and am having a bit of trouble determining what hoses go where from the heater core. The core is in. I need to know if the lower or upper hose goes to the coolant tube on the side and if there is supposed to be a tube going between the control valve and the tube coming out of the head. If someone out there with a 924S could take a look and give me a quick description or picture it would be much appreciated. I THINK I know how it all goes, but it is a little fuzzy and I can't seem to get a straight answer from my manuals.

Thanks.

Hi Sol,

The top hose goes to the heater pipe -1987 924S:

and the bottom hose to the heater control valve.

There is a short custom "J" hose from the heater control valve to the sensor/pipe above the AOS and into the block by the rear spark plug.

okey dokey

That's what I thought. I figured that the heater valve would be placed so that it would obscure the sensor block. The J hose is missing. I will have to cut up the hose that is currently being used to bypass the core. It looks pretty much like a straight hose though. I suspect the car didn't come to me with the correct hoses. there is evidence that the top hose was replaced. I think with the wrong part. It LOOKS like the same hose as the lower hose, which kinda confused me as I was under the impression that they are not the same.
