...car disabled by circlip !!....but not where you think - help !

...so, the wiper crank arm started popping off the ball and jamming everything. Quick fix, and as I've done before, and spotted on others' car's, drill right down through the assy, and use a long M3 bolt and washers.

No biggie, did it before. However, I needed to drop the (short) crank arm a bit, to get access for the drill, etc. - so backed off the nut on the spindle assy, and the various parts. Drilled it out, re-greased it, all is well.

Except the tiny, tiny circlip over the wave washer flew across the garage.......and no, I can't find it it - it's tiny !!

So, I learned today that there are NO parts available for his assy - that you have to buy the WHOLE FRAME !! FFS !

So, anyone got any idea's on how to fix - car is completely disabled over a 5c part !! (If you see my location you'll see we use our wipers.........a lot !! )

If you have a HF tool store near you, they might have an assortment that you could grab a circlip out of. Or, check their website. Probably cost three bucks for 238 circlips.

Because I can't get the spindle out of the car.......I can't measure the groove....because I lost the clip I can't.............well, you know, measure the clip......

So, if anyone can measure one for me, and post it here, I'm sure I can get one locally - I just need to know what I'm looking for (presuming a C-clip, not a circlip..)

Tks !

Here's a picture of the clip. I used a DME relay for size reference.

If you cannot locate one locally, I am still willing to send you one.

You couldn't measure the ii.d. / o.d. & thickness of that with a mic/calipers, could you ? (cheaper than postage !)

Will accept dims in 0.001" or metric 0.01mm !!
