Brakes/rotors question
I have (or should I say had) new rotors prior to my first track event this year and subsequently have a pulsing pedal that suggests unevenly worn rotors (or rotors with deposits, anyway). My rotors are zimmerman, my track pads are porterfield R (carbon-kevlar). I am wondering if anyone has used a pad/rotor combination with the stock calipers that has worked really consistently on the track without "warping" the rotors. Alternatively, if anyone has gone to a big brake kit that has worked without fail I would like to know about that too. I don't want to have to buy new rotors after every track event but that is where I am after the last two outings. Does cryo treatment minimize/eliminate this problem?

This last time I was unable to get Brembo rotors so I put on zimmermans and Porterfiled R-4's. My dad runs this same combination on another N/A and I think even his turbo S. All of them have preformed quite well.
You want to make sure all the calipers are functioning properly and not hanging up on one side. Using good fluid helps to keep from boiling and you subsequently ride the brakes less. You should be getting a season at least out of a set of rotors, if not more. I cannot speak for big brake kits, no experience with them.

74, which compound were you using when the rotors went squirrely?
