I should have taken a picture when I had three middle school girls and luggage in the back of the 944.

We know a set of four race wheels & tires plus floor jack will fit in a 944.

A friend saw a 944 with an air compressor and construction tools parked in the Home Depot parking lot, and asked if it was me. Probably.

I've never hauled baby stuff in the 944, but no reason it wouldn't work.

My daughter is now 14, and still likes the back seat of the 944.

The 944 is the perfect sensible family car. It is economical, handles well and has excellent crash-worthiness. Not to mention a pre-87 doesn't have air bags which can pose a problem for car seat placement. They have adequate performance to get you out of any trouble on the roads and there's plenty of room in the spacious rear hatch area for whatever cargo you might need to tote around.

(this is the story I tell my wife anyway, and so far its worked...)

top stuff guys.
this is great case building material you're giving me!

low depreciation is another good reason, might go and test drive one tomorrow without telling her.

if anyone has any pics of their kids in the back post em up also.
it'll help me win her over if theres kids in the shots.

how big is the trunk is it like 110cm wide usable space or?

With the seats folded down my 924 has similar cargo room to my Jeep Cherokee.

I used a booster seat in the rear of the 951 I had when my daughter was very young. I trimmed down the sides so it fit the rear "bucket", so the factory belt held everything tightly in place. Worked great.

you can fit quite a lot especially with the back seat down. its just shallow because of the fuel tank/transaxle.

I wish I had pictures of mine when I had kiddie safety harnesses installed in the back seats. Bought a couple of baby seats and dismantled them for them for the belts. Worked nice until my boys out grew them.
