Will Centerforce disk fit?
I'm thinking of just getting the disk through centerforce for $169.00 380944
http://www.centerforce.com/clutches.tpl?cart=12419752575077164&subsection=clutchselector&searchStr=csearchStr3&cstep1=step1&cstep2=step2&cstep3=step3&carmake=PORSCHE&carmodel=944&caryear=1983 This is the same disk that Kragen has on their website for $189.00. I just want to know if it will physically fit within the old pressure plate. Yeah, yeah I know what some of you are thinking, but if your willing to donate I'll go the other route. ![]() Thanks

I would think not being as one plate matches to a rubber center clutch and on mates to a spring center clutch.

I bet you 100 bucks it will fit I just brought the Dual Friction setup and it has the same Sachs pressure plate the factory offers all you need to do is to have the Pressure plate resurfaced (or not) but I would definitely resurface the fly wheel, some people don’t even do that but I did. Then all you need is the factory throwout bearing and seals.
Good Luck with your choice |

That's what I wanted to hear. I can get it through Kragen and not worry about all the shipping hassle if it doesn't fit. I think I'm going down to order it today and give it a shot.
Thanks

From this link----go to post 176 and read on---it should work. Centerforce does want the flywheel reground.... NOT with the Blanchard Grinding system?
http://forums.rennlist.com/rennforums/924-931-944-951-968-forum/451563-why-is-a-clutch-so-expensive-12.html You can also repack the TO if this is your first clutch change. If the PP has less than 100K you could also reuse. Replace the TO glide tube, fork bearings, pilot. Get new header exhaust gaskets. Go for it! Dude you are the man!!! I'm going to order this thing tomorrow and finally get this back on the road after a year and a half. 914s are cool, but when it gets hot outside it takes all the fun out of my 50mile commute. The last thing I want to do is ride home in the afternoon when it's over a hundred degrees outside.
